NEVER AGAIN. Negative-star if possible - There's an old lady who works there, she is very rude! She has no grace or hospitality. When I asked, the woman at the reception said that grumpy old lady is in charge there. (Probably the owner who knows). She had a very condescending tone towards me (a foreigner) when I wanted to reserve a table. When I brought a few local friends & ordered few bottles of champagne, Ms. Grumpy was unrecognisable. Food is mediocre. I wanted to treat some friends in a nice place (so I thought) in my neighbourhood. - Never Again in this place.

This hotel has a lot of potential, but.... We purposely booked and called to confirm a premium room that is on the quiet side of the hotel and has air conditioning. We were given a room that faces the street where there is a tram that runs and a lot of traffic. The room also overlooks the parking lot where guests get dropped off and was noisy until 11:30 pm or so. We opened windows but there are no screens and it got noisy and buggy so closed the windows and we both got very warm and restless through the night. Stefanie at the front counter is the one bright spot int hsi hotel and tried to be accommodating but the hotel was full and could not move us to the location promised in our reservation.

Very decent independent hotel. The location outside of Bern is not as bad as it seems on the map: the tram stop right Infront of the hotel provides frequent connections to the city centre (and free of charge for Hotel Guests using the Welcome Bern App). Travel time is roundabout 10 minutes. The rooms are comfortable and provide international TV channels as well as a Minibar. That said: no Aircon. On a hot summer night one does miss that. Staff are friendly and helpful, the gym is decent and the restaurant appears to be well frequented by locals.

Lovely hotel, nice staff. Unfortunately the temperature was between 28 and 32 degrees during our 3 night stay. There was no air conditioning (we were told it was only available in the premier rooms) we found a desk fan that hardly moved the air and with the windows open the traffic noise kept us awake, also we were on the flight path of a small airport. I would only recommend staying here if you book the expensive rooms.

All in all charming place. Nice restaurant, especially the outside seating area. Very nice and helpful staff. The rooms, however, could do with a proper update. The decor is not very elegant, and I had the thinnest mattress ever made by man.

How can a room without AC exists in 2023? Terrible room and awfully outdated equipments. The price of the rooms here are higher than average but the quality of their room and service are of low quality. Staff is full of attitude and egocentric.
